Our new Home Goods Store Locations website will hopefully provide you with some useful information about Home Goods
Stores. Here is some background informatino regarding them.
Two brothers Ernest and Geno LeRose founded the Home Goods Stores in 1950, though not under that name. At that
time the store was known as LeRose Mercantile Ltd, they had an old two storey building which was roughly ten
thousand square feet. Selling furniture at a discount they started making a decent living but in 1968 Ernest bought
out his brother and decided to carry on the business on his own. In 1979 the company had literally outgrown the
building they were in so they moved lock stock and barrel into a thirty five thousand square feet building located
between Trail and Castlegar. In 1999 his son Rob renamed the company to Home Goods and bought the business from his
dad. He was an active member on the board until his death in 2000.
The Home Goods Store Locations offer full service furniture and appliances and they offer a
huge line of products, all in one location. They offer furniture and appliances for every budget and also provide
home interior designer that will come to your home and help you decide what you want in your home. All of their
sales staff are highly trained and will answer all of your questions. Some of the appliances and furniture you will
find in their stores are Lazy Boy, Ashley furniture, and a KitchenAid ‘working kitchen display’ one that actually
has working appliances such as an oven and refrigerator and sometimes a freezer and microwave oven.
As their buyers for the Home Goods store locations will travel all over the world to find that right piece
furniture that will fit your home, they also will find glorious pillows, table clothes and the like. The company
finally started building stores in the United States around 1990 and can be a bit difficult to find. At the end of
2009 there were only three hundred and twenty three stores. They work closely though with TJ Maxx and or Marshalls.
The stand alone buildings are on an average about 27,000 square feet and carry almost everything you could dream
of. In the year of 2010 Home Goods stores plan to open nine new stores across the United States and feel the market
will support around five to six hundred more.
Since they are fairly new to the United States, it is very difficult to pinpoint where Home Goods Store
locations are located. If you have a Target, Wal-Mart, Pier One, etc you will might find the Home
Goods furniture and appliances, as these stores sometimes have a section dictated to this. Marshall’s, World Mart
and Tuesday morning as them as well. The best way to find one of their stores is to either go online or look them
up in the telephone book.
TJ Maxx is about the only store where there is a stand alone Home Goods Stores Locations as it has
twenty five operations and this is helping TJ Maxx establish itself once again. These can be found in New York,
Chicago Illinois, Florida and Massachusetts areas.
