Today silk plants look almost real and you do not need to water them which many people will place in a corner or in front of a large window. Don't waste your money on plastic plants or flowers because they really look cheap and will actually take away from the room's décor. Once a week buy yourself some fresh flowers and place them on the dinning room table, they will add beauty as well as make the room smell nice. Many will use home interior candles, place around the room such as on the coffee table, on top of the mantle or on the end tables. Scented candles are even better as when lit they give of a wonderful aroma and will waif throughout the house.

Placing family photographs say on one wall will add to the home interior design and it makes it more personal. Or maybe get some of those gorgeous prints of large flowers, if you are re-modeling the kitchen try a chef on the wall or pictures of herbs. Some will even go as far as placing fountain in the living room or some will put them in the bedroom. They do give a beautiful calming effect that many like.
