In 1984 born out of three separate gyms LA Fitness is one of the largest fitness centers in the United States today. Three owners, Fred Turock, David Turner and Jeremy Taylor each owned their own gyms. They decided to join forces and form a gym that was first class, offering many different things with their shops. Privately owned this franchise has over two hundred gyms throughout the United States and England.

Just in England alone there are over eighty LA Fitness Locations clubs mostly in the London area. They offer the same as their American counterpart; personal training services all of the latest equipment and many other programs that can be styled just for you and your schedule. People will go to the LA Fitness club on their lunch hours and do a good workout. They also offer corporate and personal memberships with focus on cardiovascular fitness, spinning, Pilates and yoga.

What many people like in the United States are they can either go to the gym or do their workouts right at home with the LA fitness locations programs. They will talk with you on many levels to find out which program would suit you and your lifestyle. Although they offer baby sitting facilities in their gyms many mothers enjoy this at home.

LA Fitness has also gone as far as incorporating sports activities into their fitness regimes. To name a few would be cycling, aqua aerobics, kickboxing and Tae-Bo. They will have tournaments and run leagues for the members as they feel this adds to the camaraderie of the members and it gets them to know each other as well.

With so many people having arthritis, LA Fitness locations has an aerobic program that no other spa center has. They work with you constantly until you reach your goals and will be there if you decide to keep taking the programs. Another good idea coming from them is the access to your own personal trainer. They help design a program just for you and will give you the motivation and support you need throughout.

When becoming a member for the first time you will go through a one hour orientation session with your trainer, this give you and them an idea as to what you are capable of doing and how to proceed. If you decide this would be for you; you can buy additional sessions or an ongoing membership.

Headquartered in Irvine California, the LA Fitness locations clubs are all over the United States. They are located from the Pacific Northwest all through the country going into Minnesota, Michigan, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Georgia and Florida. They can be found as well all along the eastern coast as well, New York, District of Columbia, etc. you will find them in any large city.

All of them have full sized gyms where you can find all the latest machines to work out on, whirlpools, lap pools that are heated and even a sauna or two. They also offer babysitting services so you know your kids are safe while you are shaping your body.  So take heart and find your nearest La Fitness Locations gym as soon as possible!
